The Scud 3NE area is underlain by mafic volcanic rock of the Upper Triassic Stuhini Group. Middle Jurassic tonalite of the Three Sisters Plutonic Suite and Triassic quartz diorite bodies intrude the country rock.

A sample from a quartz carbonate vein with pyrite and chalcopyrite, bornite and malachite assayed 0.25 per cent copper and 9.6 grams per tonne silver (Sample 9067, Assessment Report 21731).
